At the beginning of November, we gave out vital information on keeping yourselves and your animals safe on bonfire night.

We celebrated International Men’s Day by acknowledging the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities.  We had information available about men’s mental health, had a fun photobooth, played ‘Pin The Tash On The Man’ and did a moustache quiz.

Sustainability Week took place in November.  We had a stand in the Mall and each day had different activities highlighting the following topics; endangered species, pollution, nutrition, drug and alcohol awareness finishing off with a trip to Bolton Market.  We hung out our washing across the Mall, each piece of clothing carried a vitally important message about the clothing industry and its impact on our environment.

We held a Hoodie Day, everyone came to Uni in their Uni branded hoodie and the SU Shop had a hoodie sale day.

We continued with our Society Officer training and added more in-depth specific training sessions requested by societies.

We launched the Student Life Awards across all university campuses.  Students can vote online or by hard copy and post the nomination in the SLA box.

The President, Nihit, and Toni got pelted with soggy sponges outside the Chancellor’s Mall on a cold, wet and windy Friday morning, it was all in a good cause though, they were raising money for Children in Need.  At the end of the session, both Nihil and Toni were freezing cold, but happy to have raised £86 for Children in Need.

We took our new crazy golf course to IOM for a few days giving students there, the opportunity to play golf and have a chat with the SU President.

We held our final Speak Week of the year, when students gave us their opinion on how their course is helping them progress and develop.
