At the beginning of April, we organised a trip to the local market to show students the fabulous array of fruit, veg and meat on offer at very competitive prices.  Bolton market is located very near to the Uni and you can buy everything you need to make good, healthy meals.

We had an online quiz during the Easter break, and after the Easter break had a movie day in the Loft.

We held a number of awareness days in the Chancellor’s Mall including stress allergy and eating disorders.  We gave out lots of information, using our spin wheel and played interactive games.

We carried out our third Speak Week of the academic year.  The topic we choose was Blended Learning.  Alongside student volunteers we asked 3 questions about blended learning.

At the end of April student societies with the help of the Chaplaincy and SU got together and put on a Cultural Exchange Day extravaganza.  The event was amazing, there were food stands in the Mall showcasing different foods from different cultures, stands with different religions.  On the main stage in the SLZ, singers from the Believers Loveworld Christian Fellowship Society performed a medley of uplifting songs, students gave poetry readings and some very talented dancers showcased their skills.  Student life offered afternoon tea with the SU supplying the cake to go with it.   Overall it was a fantastic day, we can’t wait to do it again!
