The 10th to the 16th May was Mental Health Awareness Week and the subject was nature.  We picked out some beautiful local places for you to visit and enjoy your surroundings, and also asked you to send photos in of your best places in nature.  We put articles on the website with tips and advice on how nature can help your mental health.

We all know how stressful exams and assessments are and how important it is to look after yourself.  So, as May is exam time, we got together some resources giving you tips on how to prepare and support yourselves through this period.  These are all still available on the website.

We held Mitigating Circumstances workshops on Zoom over a two week period and helped a number of students.

Ansh, SU President, got his first vaccination against COVID-19, and posted about his experience on our Facebook Page.  Ansh had a great response from students and through his efforts many more students had their first vaccination, thereby helping to keep the University of Bolton and their own family and friends safe.  Well done Ansh!

At the end of May we held our Student Led Teaching Awards.  Once again, due to lock down restrictions, we could not hold the ceremony in person, but this did not stop us and what a fantastic event it was!  We held a live event - that’s right, a live event, and lots of staff and students tuned in to watch it.  It was wonderful to be able to give out these awards to so many deserving members of staff and students who do so much for the University of Bolton students.  The following day we had members of staff calling into the SU office to tell us how good the event was and how much they enjoyed it.
