With Christmas fast approaching our thoughts turned to people less fortunate than ourselves.   So when an opportunity was presented to us to partner the local Destitution Project collecting winter clothing, toiletries, food and bedding for refugees in the Bolton area, we decided this would be something we could do.  After only a few days our collection box was almost full.  Thank you to students and staff who donated.

We are also supporting The Red Box Project.  This project seeks to provide free menstrual products for young women in local schools, ensuring that no young women have to miss school or college because of menstruation.  Once again, staff and students have generously donated.  Thank you.

1st December was the start of our 15 Festive Days.  We had a different activity each day, we gave out Christmas candy canes, made homemade gifts to give to family and friends, we chatted to students over a steaming mug of free hot chocolate and made decorations, pom poms and Christmas cards amongst other activities.

During December, our annual and very popular Christmas Jumper and Bake Sale day took place.  Staff and students, once again, donated homemade cakes and biscuits which were sold in aid of Bolton Hospice.  We raised £260.  A special thank you goes to Jess (CEC) who made a show stopper chocolate cake which was raffled off separately.

See you in the New Year!
