Job Description
Position: Student Communities & Events Coordinator
Pay: £23,809 per annum
Status: Permanent
Hours: Full-Time (37.50 hours per week) (Very occasional weekend / evening work)
Location: The post will be mainly based in the SU Office with potential for cross campus working.
Please Note: Remote / hybrid working can not be considered for this role.
Responsible to: General Manager / Student Engagement Manager

Purpose of the Post
To ensure that the Students’ Union is at the heart of campus activity.
To ensure that student led society officers are trained and supported in line with the SU’s policies and procedures.
To work with student society leaders to ensure societies are active and inclusive, including monitoring and evaluating the society reward scheme.
Undertake all administration duties required to enable the societies to thrive and to encourage new societies on campus
To develop and deliver events and campaigns to ensure that students feel part of a community.
To engage and support student volunteers in the delivery of events and campaigns.
