Welcome back everyone!  For many of you it’s straight into exams and assignment deadlines and so to help you get through this very stressful time, we held our Mind Your Mate Week.  We gave out goodies bags packed with bubble wrap, easy nutritious recipes, hydration station cards, teabags and water bottles!  We also put handy “less stress, more success” tips written by students into the bags.

We had our chess board out which is always popular and the Table Top Society had a day of quick games in the SLZ for stressed out students to join in and destress.   There were mindfulness sessions, yoga, Pilates, and walking sessions available.  We held our popular Crafternoon sessions and our Win It In A Minute Challenge, the prize was large hamper filled with pampering goodies.

Nominations for the next SU President and NUS Delegate opened this month.  Visit the Leadership Race page for more information.

Student Activities Awareness Day was held on a snowy, cold January day, but even this did not put students off attending, the day was busy and Societies reported new members and lots of activities planned for the next semester.

We also held the Welcome Back Fair which gave new and returning students an opportunity to see what organisation are in and around Bolton.

We helped 5 students with issues ranging from academic misconduct to problems with accommodation.  Please feel free to call in and ask for help if you need it.

We welcomed two Youth and Community Studies students to the SU Team.  These students are undertaking their placement with us and we look forward to working with them.  We have lots of activities planned for the semester ahead to make your University experience the best it can be!
