We had our first ever Hoodie Day and it was a brilliant day! Students who wore a University of Bolton Hoodie to Uni on Hoodie Day or at the Welcome Back Fair and Activities Fair were entered into a draw to win an Amazon Gift voucher. We were so happy to see so many of you wearing your hoodies. Take a look at Tik Tok!
Together with the Life Team, we held another quiz in the Loft. It was well attended and everyone had a great time.
We held our annual Welcome Back to Uni Fair and Activities Fair. It was very busy and great fun. At the Activities Fair all the Societies had stands in the Mall and the Sports staff and students kept us entertained with their table tennis table skills.
Nominations for the next SU President opened, and we are excited to find out who has put themselves forward to stand as a candidate in the next SU Election.
As part of National Student Money Week, we did a Taste the Difference Event. We had branded and non-branded food and drink out on a table in the Mall and asked you to taste the difference. The verdict was the majority of non-branded foods and drink tasted just as good as the branded stuff – and it also saves money!
As part of LGBT Awareness Month, we held an amazing LGBT Awareness event in the Mall which showcased LGBT celebrities, films and shows. Students played the Pride Flag game and Terms and Meaning Matching game. Everyone had a great time.
We also held our Hate Crime event in the Mall. Students were asked to take one of our hand shaped cut outs and write their feelings toward hate crimes on them. We put these hands on the President’s window, where we will leave them up for everyone to read.
The first Table Tennis Tournament was played in the Hangout which was a great success.
