Board of Trustees

Bolton SU is governed by a Board of Trustees, who ensures that Bolton SU is operating properly and in the best interest of students.

The Board meets several times a year and there are nine members of the Board of Trustees.

The President and two students have a place on the Board, alongside an NUS Trustee and University Trustees – volunteers from outside organisations who add knowledge and expertise to what we do.

Trustees are accountable to the Charity Commission and ensure we make sound financial decisions, obey the law and respond to the needs of all students.
Responsibility for the day to day running of the Students’ Union is delegated to the General Manager.

Our current Board of Trustee members are:

  • Paul Chapman (NUS Nominated)
  • Chathurika Kannangara (University Trustee)
  • Rose Davies (University Trustee
  • Ian Savage (Chair)
  • Alicia Daniellson (University Trustee)
  • Nihit Tiwari (Officer Trustee)
  • Maria Ayub (Student Trustee)
  • Ammaarah Siddique (Student Trustee)

You can contact the Board of Trustees through the Students’ Union.
