November is when the first round of Student Staff Liaison Committees takes place.  The CEC’s attended as many of these meetings as they could along with Course Reps.

At the beginning of November we ran a ‘Let’s talk finances’ campaign.  We had useful tips from a recent graduate, who talked about how difficult it was to manage their finances during their first year at university to batch cooking and free local days out.  All articles are on the website.

We also ran an Alcohol Awareness campaign during the national Alcohol Awareness week.  The theme this year was Alcohol and mental health.  We looked at the issues around alcohol and mental health the best ways to look after ourselves and those we love during a year of great change and uncertainty.  Again, these articles are available to view on the website.

November 15th was the first anniversary of the Cube Fire.  We remembered the devastating impact the fire had on the student community and the bravery and courage of everyone involved.

Nominations opened in the Student Led Teaching Awards.  Click here to nominate and tell us why you think your choice of staff or student deserves to win.

We launched the Student Newsletter which will delivered straight to your inbox once a month.  The Student Newsletter will tell you what the SU has been up to during the past month.
