Youth Club Volunteer: BLGC

The opportunity: Supporting the staff team, volunteers actively get involved in assisting and leading a range of activities creating a fun environment with lots to do including sports, games, arts, projects and much more. If you have a particular sport, hobby or interest we would love to hear about it! Our Youth Clubs are split into two groups, Juniors (8- 11 years old) and Seniors (12 – 16 before 8pm, 17+ after) and are on different nights of the week. You will gain experience working with young people and develop skills in leadership, team work and problem solving, as well as making a real difference for young people in Bolton.

Locations: Spa Road, Westhoughton, Barlow Park

When: Dates and times vary across sites, but most evenings and weekends after 4pm

Commitment: We ask for a minimum of 3 months volunteering as our young people need consistent people in their lives and it takes time to develop your skills and confidence.

About the project: Bolton Lads and Girls Club is a youth club and registered charity based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. Over 128 years ago, we were one of the first organisations in the North West to recognise the importance of providing young people with a safe haven to spend their free time.
