Information and Support Volunteer

The opportunity: 

We are looking for committed volunteers with the ability to work in a person centred way to help to our service users. Information and Support Volunteers support our service users with problems or concerns relating to daily living offering one to one support.If you;

  • Have knowledge of the local area
  • Have knowledge of other local organisations
  • Feel able to promote BAND’s work in the local community
  • Have some knowledge, or feel able to learn about the benefit system
  • Are able to motivate and support individuals
  • Are able to bring new ideas
  • Are a good listener
  • Are organised around time commitments

About the project: Volunteers play an important role in this project, and will receive full training and induction to the service followed by ongoing support and supervision throughout their volunteering role by the Development Worker of the project. Mandatory training is required prior to undertaking a position and further training will be offered relevant to the post. Reasonable travel, food and beverages expenses will be paid in accordance with our expenses policy.
