Good Lad Initiative

The opportunity:

Volunteers are trained to be workshop facilitators and they deliver our carefully designed and fun sessions in schools and universities. They work in pairs to lead small group discussions, making sure that whatever group they are with gets through the workshop content, has a fun and memorable experience, and has some deep and important learning about the topics we cover. Volunteers do not lecture nor give their own opinions, instead they create a space where the participants can talk openly by leading them through thought-provoking exercises and discussions.

We are looking for men aged 18+ who; care about gender equality and are passionate about promoting it have an interest in working with young people in schools and men in universities have a willingness to learn, listen and be open No experience is necessary, and we want people from all backgrounds and experiences. We support you every step of the way from training through to workshop delivery.

We ask that you commit to giving us at least three days a year to delivering workshops, after the two days of training. Most volunteers do many more than this, so this is just the minimum we ask for.
