Meet and Greet Support Volunteer

The opportunity: We are looking for committed volunteers with the ability to work in a person centred way to greet beneficiaries who are attending appointments at BAND, or members of the public coming in without an appointment for general enquiries. Make beneficiaries feel welcome. Take their name, check against appointment list and offer a warm or cold drink whilst they are waiting for appointment. Inform the staff member who made the appointment about their arrival. Have a conversation with the beneficiary whilst they are waiting if appropriate. Fact finding conversation with ad hoc callers about their nature of their visit to BAND. Short conversation with duty officer for guidance regarding further action. Registration form filling and introduction to BAND’s service, filling out outcomes sheet, signposting to other services if you have knowledge of the local area and other organisations

About the project: Volunteers play an important role in this project, and will receive full training and induction to the service followed by ongoing support and supervision throughout their volunteering role by the Development Worker of the project. Mandatory training is required prior to undertaking a position and further training will be offered relevant to the post. Reasonable travel, food and beverages expenses will be paid in accordance with our expenses policy.
