Welcome Week 2015 is now live - and it's going to be HUGE!

Welcome Week starts on Saturday the 12th of September and goes onto Friday the 25th of September 2015. All the details are below.

 

Saturday- arriving today? Start your Uni life off with a Karaoke night, with great drinks deals and free pizza!

 

Sunday- collect your wristband and get down to the SU for a White T-Shirt party featuring Dev and Matt Edmondson (from BBC Radio 1!) Includes a free T-Shirt for all attendees.

 

Monday- time to get that brain working at the Big Quiz! Have a laugh, meet loads of people, win some cash prizes! The first of our weekly quizzes throughout the year.

 

Tuesday- Have you ever seen "Live at the Apollo" on BBC 1? Well we've got comedians coming down on Tuesday night that have performed on your TV screens in primetime, including Paul Chowdhry and Seann Walsh! Get down early for an 8pm prompt start.

Wednesday- A free trip to the SuperClub LEVEL in LIVERPOOL. Transport there and back for free. Oh and did we mention that it's a foam party?

 

Thursday- Fancy Dress silent disco. Chuck on anything funny and get down to the SU to dance away to one of any three DJs. Random music, random dancing, random costumes. You’ve never seen anything like it.

 

Friday- It’s the big one. We’ve got the one and only TINCHY STRYDER performing a live PA at the SU! Performing all his biggest hits including “Number 1” and “Never Leave You”. Tinchystryder.com

Supported by the outstanding Loick Essien (number 2 hit artist with “How we Roll”) and Kieran Alleyne.

 

Saturday- Not had enough yet? We’ve got the band Naked Stereo performing live at Blind Tiger (a Bar in town)

 

Monday- Get your Geek on with our Geek Culture Society’s Quiz. One of Bolton SU’s many student-led societies, Geek Culture will test your Hulk from your Hulkbuster, your Polyjuice Potion from your Pumpkin Juice and your Dr Who from your Dr Whom (we made that last one up).

 

Wednesday- So we haven’t had a school disco yet. But it’s tradition, isn’t it? Yeah, let’s have one of those! Get your shirt and tie out and chuck on Britney’s “Baby One More Time” and you’ll be all set. Down at local club Bamboogy in Bolton.

 

Friday- Do you still have a voice after two weeks’ worth of events? No? Well come down and listen to some other students show off their incredible talents at our unplugged night. Free entry for all & prizes for performers.

 

What Else Do I Get!?

IN ADDITION to all of this we’re also giving all students with wristbands FREE ENTRY to the new LEVEL night club when it opens at the end of September. Free entry will run for a month and will apply on Wednesday and Friday nights only.
