As a registered charity we have Articles of Association which are rules by which Bolton SU operates. It sets out how decisions are made and the procedures which are followed to ensure that these are efficient, transparent and accountable to students. Some of these processes are required by law (1994 Education Act), while others are a matter for the Union to choose.
These Articles of Association are approved by students at the AGM and then by the Union’s Board of Trustees and the University’s Board of Governors. The most up-to-date version of the Articles of Association can be found here.
