How We Are Run
Bolton Students’ Union - It Starts With You
Bolton Students’ Union represents all Bolton students. The Union is here to look after your educational, social, welfare and recreational interests. You are central to deciding how the organisation is led and the aims and objectives the Union aims to achieve.
Elections
You decide to stand for election as a full-time Sabbatical Officer (President). Any student can do this either part way through your course or during your final year to take up the position when you graduate.
or
You decide to stand for election as a part-time, Non-Sabbatical Officer – Welfare and Campaigns Officer, Marketing and Publicity Officer, Clubs and Society Officer, Community and Environmental Officer.
or
You vote in the annual elections. The President and the four Non-Sabbatical Officers work for the Union and are responsible for the day to day running and decision making. The President and other elected officers also sit on the Trustee Board, which is BSU’s overall governing body.
You can also stand for election as one of our NUS Delegates. These positions represent BSU students at the NUS Annual National Conference.
You can contact the President at any time. The President has been elected to represent you. If you think there should be a campaign on a particular issue that affects students – then suggest it.
