We held a Celebrate Not Hate event which gathered together people from many different ethnic backgrounds.  We had African drummers, Iranian teas and sweets, Chinese calligraphy, teas and snacks from around the world and Indian dancing.  The event was well attended and lots of students joined in with the drummers, dancing, tea tasting and trying on Saris.  We even got henna tattoos!  Everyone had a great time celebrating the diversity we have here at the University of Bolton.

Nominations for the Leadership Race closed and campaigning began.  You will have the opportunity to vote in March.

The CEC’s did another round of Lecture Shout Outs; visiting students in their teaching rooms and reminding you about the elections, Student Led Teaching Awards and what your SU offers.

Tom held a Chess Give It A Go event which was very well attended with experienced and not so experienced chess players.  Check the website and social media for the date of the next chess session.

The CEC’s were out and about on all campuses with SU On Tour, getting your feedback about your experiences at Uni.
